The feeling of flying is a feeling like no other.
The aerial practice allows us to do things with our body, which we never believed were possible for us as adults. This is one of the things that makes the aerial practice a way of life.
The practice teaches us to release. Release the body, loosen our grip, and release the mind. It's a practice of trust. To trust ourselves and our surroundings, which enables us to release, let go and fly.
The aerial practice opens new horizons for us. The hammock is an instrument facilitating unstable, pliant ground hence taking us to the practice of body and spatial awareness.
At the same time, the inevitability of gravity gears up and helps us stretch and strengthen our muscles and increase our range of motion.
In the workshop we will get familiar with and deepen our aerial yoga practice starting from a moderate level, where exercises are inspired by the world of aerial acrobatics and yoga. We will have plenty of time to explore all the Asanas and deepen with challenging variations. We will focus on the transitions between the asanas and create motion sequences. We will experience flying meditation exercises, massage in the hammock and exercises in pairs. Obviously, all this is impossible without playing a little. We will experience the use of the hammock from all sorts of worlds, training the body on the one hand, and releasing the mind on the other.
The workshop is suitable for yoga practitioners and practitioners who have experimented with aerial yoga and feel comfortable with their spatial awareness while in the air.
The level of practice is medium or higher.
Also suitable for Acro Yoga practitioners and acrobats.
You must attend at least one aerial yoga practice before registering for the workshop.
